    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • -1. The socket cover was missing for the outlet near the sink in the 4-5 year old room. ** Please ensure all outlets have proper socket covers to prevent injury. **This was corrected at the time of the inspection. 2. The outlet in the 4-5 year old room had a small hole exposed as a nail was missing. ** Please re-install the missing nail and ensure the outlet is secured in place. 3. The large mirror in the washroom that was accessible to children does not appear to be shatterproof or have a safety film installed over it. **Please provide proof that the window is shatterproof or, install a safety film that would make the window shatterproof. 4. The pink and purple telephone toy in the 3–4-year-old room had a long cord to the phone handle and near the base of the handle, the plastic was starting to separate, revealing some electrical wire components that were exposed. ** Please properly repair the toy or remove the toy from the site. Ensure no electrical wire components are exposed.-

      • - 1. The ceiling tile around the washroom fan was water stained. **Please determine the source of water/ moisture causing the stain and properly repair. Then, remove the water-stained ceiling tile and replace with new materials. 2. The ceiling tile near the yellow wall in the 3–4-year-old room was water stained. **Please determine the source of water/ moisture causing the stain and properly repair. Then, remove the water-stained ceiling tile and replace with new materials. 3. There was an open hole in the wall under the mirror of the washroom. It appeared to be a plumbing line that was cut. **Please investigate if the plumbing line is needed. If not, please close the hole and apply a proper finish over the area so it is made smooth, non-absorbent to moisture, and easily cleanable. -

      • - In the staff kitchen area, there were reusable childen bowls, plates, and utensils that had just been washed and was drying on a rag beside the sink. ** Do not use reusable bowls, plates, or utensils for the children as the current dishwashing set up is not sufficient for proper sanitation of these items (only a 1 compartment sink available). ** Please remove these items from the site and use disposable bowls, plates, and utensils for the children instead when needed. -
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • - The diaper changing pad was stored with the sleeping cots. The pad was touching the cots. ** Please do not store the diapering pad with the sleeping cots. **Store the pad in an area that is inaccessible to children, and safe from contamination. -
