      • There were tacks on the wall in the preschool room within reach of the children. Please remove all tacks from the preschool and toddler room.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • - The bleach solution in the preschool bathroom measured too low at 50 ppm. - The bleach solution in the toddler/baby bathroom measured too low at 10 ppm. - The bleach solution in the preschool room measured 1000 ppm, which is too high. Concentrations above 100 ppm are not food safe and require a rinse step after use. This solution was being used to clean the tables. All solutions were remade to an appropriate concentration of 100 ppm. Please use test strips to ensure bleach solution is the correct concentration each morning and each time a new solution is made. Bleach solutions should be checked or remade daily.

      • High touch areas were visibly dirty, like the walls, door handles, light switches, etc. Please clean.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • - The handsink in the preschool bathroom was leaking under the sink. Please repair.- The alternate handsink outside the bathroom was measured at a temperature of 53.8C. Please lower to the recommended maximum of 49C.

      • The handsink in the toddler washroom was measured at 53.1C. Corrected during inspection to 49C. Please ensure all sinks that children have access to are at a maximum temperature of 49C.

      • ** A large pot of noodles was observed on the shelf in the preschool room. A large hot pot is hazardous when stored at child level in the room. It is recommended to place food in an alternate container to bring to the room and serve to the children.

      • 1. Stack of sleep mats in the preschool area: most of them had torn corners/ disrepair. * Replace with durable easy to clean sleep mats or cots.2. High touch areas visibly dirty such as the preschool washroom walls* Deep clean and ensure ongoing routine cleaning of surfaces and finishes.3 Warped and damaged baseboards in preschool washroom. *Replace with new baseboards.4. The staff was unable to locate a " mouthed/dirty toy bin" in the baby room as children were observed playing with toys in their mouths. Please ensure to have a labelled bin for dirty toys.
