    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • Water pressure was initially very low throughout the sinks at the facility. This was adjusted, but the maximum water temperature was ~31C. This is too cold - we recommend a maximum temperature of 43C (with a maximum of 49C). Please have the temperature adjusted.

    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • *pony wall railing in main area requires cleaning as it has drawings and a child was observed mouthing the railing. If child/ children regularly mouth the railing include this as a high contact surface with frequent cleaning and disinfecting.*Girls washroom in the back older area under the paper towel dispenser the painted wall is in need of repair and re-finishing. Have the surface addressed so that it is smooth, impervious to moisture and easily cleanable. -Discussed cleaning of carpets. Observed in a few rooms the carpets area rugs were due for a cleaning. (sensory room)

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • *Observed in the new not yet being used multi-sensory room that the heating unit is accessible and should be addressed to prevent access by children to the unit.-Observed in some of the spaces that bulletin boards had a few push pins. Advised that the push pins be removed and replaced with something that cannot easily fall out.-Observed the large, dried tree decoration has some sharp points that should be addressed and is not fully secure to prevent it from being movable.*Plug outlets covers are still to be installed for the new room. Have the outlet plug covers installed before use of the space.

      • *Observed for the multi-sensory room that the back door has a gap. Have the weatherstripping addressed so that there is no gap between the door and the frame to prevent drafts and pest from entering.
