    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • The facility did not have quats solution test strips._ ensure to have quats solution test strips to confirm sanitizing solution concentration.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • 1. Light covers in the kitchen were cracked. - Replace them.2. Wall floor joint requires proper seal and missing base boards by grease trap. - Install baseboards.3. There were holes in the drywall around the pipes near the grease trap.- Seal the holes in the drywall surrounding the grease trap to prevent pest entry and maintain sanitary conditions.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • Ice cream scoop was stored in stagnant water at room temperature.- Use clean scoop every time to scoop out ice cream or have a separate scoop for each ice cream and should be store at or below 4C or install a dipper well.

      • Bottled drinks stored on the floor in the walk-in cooler.- Ensure all food products are at least 6 inches off the floor.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Noticeable gaps along the bottom of the back exit door.- Ensure the joint between the floor and the door has no gaps and vermin proofed.
    • 20. Do food handlers at the facility have adequate food safety training?
      • Operator is currently working on getting the food safety training with their manager. Will have it completed soon.- Please forward copy of the completed certificate to PHI once completed.
