      • 1. Staple pins were noted on the preschool 2 classroom walls.-Please cover the staple pins with adhesive tape or use suitable protective materials to attach items on classrooms' walls.2. Push pins were noted on corridor walls adjacent to area where children wear their shoes for outdoor activity.-Please remove all push pins near areas of children's access and replace with suitable protective material.This infraction was corrected during the inspection.3. Bingo paint bottle was noted in baby's room.-Please remove the indicated paint bottle and ensure all craft materials are age appropriate and have AP logo.This infraction was corrected during the inspection.

      • Pest control reports seen onsite shown the following:-February 5, 2025, three German cockroaches were cited above towel dispenser in the facility's kitchen.-February 19, 2025, one adult cockroach was cited in the shared washroom.-March 5, 2025 and April 2, 2025, no noted pest activity.-April 16, 2025, one adult cockroach was cited in the shared washroom.-May 7, 2025, no noted pest activity.The facility's Director was advised to employ integrated pest control methods that would involve the whole building complex and management to resolve the pest issue.

      • Jan 15, 2025 report shows 2 cockroaches caught near kitchen, none in kitchen. Work was done over the last two weeks to seal holes between 2F and 3F of the building to prevent pest migration. -Continue to work with pest control company to abate the infestation-----------Nov 20, 2024 report shows one cockroach found in main bathrooms and one in the pre-school area near the extra kitchen fridge.-Continue treatment to cease the infestation. As the facility is closed over the holidays, operator should consult with pest control company to determine further measures that can be taken while children are not in the facility----------Sept 18, 2024 pest reports still showing some activity in bathroom area.-Complete recommendations regarding repairs noted by pest company----------Aug 28, 2024 pest reports show cockroach activity in bathroom behind kitchen. Report has instructions to "clean and remove clutter from under sinks in bathroom as this is a harbourage area for cockroaches".-Complete required actions and abate the pest infestation

      • Pre-school 1 room - tile flooring between two large circle tables has two large chips.-Repair or replace the flooring

      • Diapering mats in toddler and pre-school areas had tears.-Ensure staff replace diapering mats when they are torn

      • 1) Toddler room - square shelf with large plastic blocks - top surface is very worn, finishing has come off leaving absorbent material exposed.-Reseal the shelf so that it is smooth and impervious to moisture2) Pre-school bathroom - 3rd sink from the left has a steady leak.-Abate the leak, as there cannot be any moisture left at night when there is a pest problem
