PRempt RTU was expired.- All expired bottles were discarded.- Staff are instructed to check the expiry date before using any disinfectant.- All tools that were disinfected using expired solutions were required to be cleaned and disinfected again using a fresh solution.

      • 1) Manicure and pedicure tools were not being fully submerged in Pre-empt CS20.REQUIREMENT: Semi-critical manicure and pedicure tools, including rotary drill bits, must be fully immersed in Pre-empt CS20.2) Semi-critical nail tools were not being dried or inspected for cleanliness prior to being immersed in CS20. Failure to dry tools can result in the water diluting the CS20 solution.REQUIREMENT: Ensure all tools are dried off from excess water and then visually inspected prior to immersion in CS20.3) The operator does not have a sufficient method to determine if the contact time has been achieved for CS20. Tools were constantly being added to the CS20 container with no time checks or verification of how long a certain tool has been immersed for.REQUIREMENT: Operator must develop a satisfactory system, which staff are trained on, to ensure that all semi-critical tools are immersed in CS20 for 20 minutes.

Ensure that the machine is rinsed, flushed, and continuously supplied with distilled water afterwards.

      • Damaged floor covers were observed near the facility's reception area.-Please repair or replace the damaged flooring to prevent trip and fall risk.

Tools and pedicure basins disinfectants, preempt CS20 and RTU, had expired since 2022 and 2020 respectively.-Please procure and use new/effective preempt CS20 and RTU to ensure proper tools disinfection.2. Preempt CS20 was not used in accordance with manufacturer's instruction, preempt was diluted with alcohol, and reusable tools were not properly dried before immersion into CS20.-Please follow the step-by-step cleaning procedure for CS20 to ensure reusable tools are properly cleaned and disinfected.
