    • 10. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this pool (Non-Critical)?
      • The chemical feed pumps were shutting off when the recirculation pump was shut off but the pool operator could still turn on the chemical pumps using the controller. Develop written procedure stating this is not to be done. Should also look into interlock to prevent this.

      • The total alkalinity measured was over 200ppm.Requirement:Ensure the total alkalinity is between 60-180ppm.
    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • The free available chlorine (FAC) measured was 0.83ppm with ORP of 840. The operator mentioned he had to manually add chlorine, this indicates the automatic chemical system may not be working or not properly calibrated.Requirement:Ensure the automated chemical system installed is working optimally.

    • 17. Does the pool have adequate written policies, plans and posted rules and safety information to ensure that the pool is operating in a safe manner?
      • No sanitation plans or water quality response plans. These are required.The supervision and safety plan is not specific to the property; needs to be redone.Unsure as to how the information re: not using the pool if have had diarrhea in the last two weeks or those who should wear water-resistant swimwear is communicated to users. Was not on signage. Please put information on signage or provide how it is communicated to bathers in another way.

      • Oct. 10/23 water sample had a plate count of 1190cfu/ml. Treat water to remove contamination.
    • 10. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this pool (Non-Critical)?
      • There is no flow meter for either filter so can't determine whether the maximum flow rate through one of the filters is being exceeded. Please install a flow meter for one of the filters.
