- 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
- All treatment rooms are supplied hand washing sinks with soap and paper towel dispensers. All dispensers and taps are automatic; some of the dispensers did not work, likely low batteries in the automatic sensors. - Please ensure all hand sinks are supplied with hot/cold running water, soap, and paper towels in appropriate dispensers.
- 12. Are personal services workers at the facility maintaining client records and where applicable, sterility documentation corresponding to that client?
- Sterility information for needles and syringes used for injectables such as Botox and fillers are not kept with client records. This information is being kept for other services such as dermaplaning and microblading.- Please ensure sterility information including lot numbers for all critical equipment that is sterile at the point-of-use is kept with client records.
- 33. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Non-Critical)?
- Fridge used to store neuromodulators was not supplied with a thermometer. Manufacturer's instructions indicate products need to be held between 2-8C after being reconstituted.- Please ensure this fridge is supplied with a thermometer to verify products are held at the correct temperature. Recommend tracking the temperature of the fridge daily on a log sheet. Template provided with this email.
