    This was my second visit to Desert Hills Taco Stand, and I think it’s becoming an annual tradition whenever I’m in the Kamloops area! The food was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We shared a burrito and sampled several different tacos, and everything was fresh, flavourful, and delicious. The salsa bar is such a fun touch—you can customize every taco exactly how you like it. The pineapple and melon salsas were unexpected highlights, and the chipotle lime chili sauce was absolutely fantastic. This time I brought my mom and my nephew, and all three of us agreed we’ll definitely be back. If you’re passing through Cache Creek, don’t miss this place!

    ​If you’re looking for a truly authentic experience, Desert Hills Taco Stand is a must visit. The atmosphere here is a perfect blend of fun and calm; sitting outside to enjoy a meal in such a relaxing setting really made the visit special. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down and actually enjoy the quality of what’s on your plate. ​The food was excellent across the board. We tried a bit of everything; the burrito, the beef quesadilla, and a kids' meal, and every dish was impressive. The standout for me was the crispy pork belly taco, which was perfectly executed. Across all the dishes, the quality of the ingredients was obvious, and the portion sizes were very generous, offering great value. ​One of the best features is their topping station. They have a vast variety of salsas and house-made sauces that allow you to customize your meal exactly how you like it. You’ll definitely want to try them all. They are absolutely delicious and add that extra punch of flavor. If you're in the area, you'll definitely want to hit this place up.

    Holy Guacamoly, these were the BEST TACOS EVER. The pork belly is amazing. So yummy. And the different salsas are incredible. We tried out the blueberry salsa, stunning! We will stop here EVERY time we pass!! Also there’s animals to pet and a lovely back yard/patio to eat at

    As a Mexican traveling through British Columbia, we decided to stop here to try the tacos, and wow… they did not disappoint! They truly brought me back to my roots. For me, a taco isn’t a real taco without great salsa, and they have an amazing salsa bar with plenty of delicious options to choose from. I also loved that they sell authentic Mexican products. I couldn’t resist picking up some chips and salsa to enjoy for the rest of our road trip. The atmosphere is so relaxing and welcoming. There are play areas for kids, and they even have llamas that you can feed, which makes the stop even more fun and unique. If you’re driving through Cache Creek, this place is absolutely worth the stop. Highly recommended!

    WOW! What a surprise find! We were heading out of Cache Creek thinking we had missed the food places (most non-fast food places were closed) when we saw a sign "Hola tacos. Desert Hills Taco Stand". Let see if it's open. Well as soon as you walk in it's like your in Mexico at a street side taco restaurant. Staff are all Mexicans, banda mariachi music blaring, hot and happy place. Oh, and 100% authentic food. Menu is limited to the main Mexican food fare you're used to except for variety of fruit salsa at the toppings bar. Very generous servings. Place was very busy but lots of seating (all outside) in nicely landscaped garden. Petting zoo also there. Worth a trip in and of itself!
