      • -Written procedures were not available for this facility. Please ensure written procedures are developed for: Preparation of Skin, Post-Service Care and Client Care.
    • 11. Is post-service care provided by personal service workers following any personal service or accident where a client's skin or mucous membrane is cut or punctured during a personal service, or when energy-emitting equipment is used?
      • - Clients are not provided with verbal and written care instructions following a service that punctures the skin or mucous membrane. Ensure after-care instructions are available.
    • 12. Are personal services workers at the facility maintaining client records and where applicable, sterility documentation corresponding to that client?
      • - Load numbers and verified internal chemical indicator results for all critical equipment are not being kept with that client's records. Ensure required information is kept with every client’s records.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • - Reprocessing areas are not separated from incompatible undertakings. The sink used for reprocessing was also being used for handwashing. Please ensure that this sink is not used for handwashing; signage should be removed.

      • - Sterility assurance documentation was not available for all equipment purchased as sterile. Appropriate documentation needs to be available for equipment that is purchased as sterile. Needles that do not have appropriate information need to be removed from the facility.

      • - Cosmetic products were not labelled with manufacturer’s instructions and ingredients. (ex. Lash primer) Please ensure only cosmetic products with a detailed label are available for use.-Single use implements were not being used to dispense product; scoops were being stored inside the product. Ensure that scoops are not stored inside product and only single use implements are used to dispense product.
