    • 03. Is all food in this facility fit for human consumption and not unwholesome, spoiled, or adulterated?
      • Several food items such as butter chicken gravy, Baby food products (organic bars) were observed on display shelves past their best before dates. Operator was instructed to review all food items and remove any products that have exceeded their best before dates.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Seafood: Water was observed spilling into the sanitizer sink during handwashing. The operator was instructed to adjust or extend the tap so that water flows directly into the handwashing sink only.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Deli: The floor inside the walk-in cooler was observed with accumulated debris and buildup beneath the racks. The operator was instructed to thoroughly clean the floor to maintain proper sanitation.

      • Bakery: The handwash sink faucet is spraying water.- Requires repair.

      • A dirty cake stand was noted in a cupboard.- Ensure only clean utensils/equipment are placed back into storage. Corrected.

      • The following areas require cleaning- Black buildup and/or food particle buildup noted on the floors in areas of the bakery - along the oven wall, along equipment edges, under/behind equipment. Black buildup noted on the rubber door gaskets of the proofer.

    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • Produce Prep: The sink dividers at the 3 comp sink in the Produce Prep area have been removed resulting in one large sink. Locate and install the dividers so that proper manual washing procedures for utensils/equipment can occur.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Warehouse: Mouse droppings noted along the wall behind the bulk flour bags/packaging shelving unit. Pest control program in place.
