- A non-food grade disinfectant was used for sanitizing the food contact area. Staff indicated that they have a grade quaternary ammonium chloride sanitizing solution. It was advised to the operator to use the quaternary ammonium-based sanitizing solution and to obtain a test strip. Ensure food contact areas are sanitized with a sanitizing solution. If quaternary ammonium chloride is used, ensure to obtain a quats test strip to measure its concentration. Ensure to maintain its concentration at 200 ppm.
