      • 1) Debris was noted on the nail nipper's sharp jaw and handle.Ensure tools are cleaned before placing in disinfectant.2) Pediclean pedicure files were not cleaned, white stains were observed on the abrasive pads (CDI).Operators stated that they don't use them anymore. They were discarded during inspection.3) Nippers and other manicures and pedicures tools were not completely submerged in the disinfectant. (CDI).Ensure all tools are completed submerged in the disinfectant.

      • Manicure and pedicure tools were not being dried before disinfection. Tools were being washed with soap and water, rinsed, and then placed into PREempt CS20 or HLD5.Staff was not cleared on what disinfectant was used to soak the manicure and pedicure tools.  Manicure and pedicure tools must be completely dry before placing into disinfectant (PREempt CS20 or HLD5) for disinfection.

      • Reoccuring issue.Alcohol used to disinfect the waxing chair. -Alcohol is not a disinfectant. Please use low-level disinfectant to disinfect the surfaces.

      • 1) Pre-empt RTU spray bottle was filed with PRE-empt CS 20 or Pre-empt HLD5. Staff was not sure what's in the PRE-empt RTU bottle. 2) Alcohol spray bottle was not labelled.1 to 2) Proper labelling the chemical bottles.3) Operator's personal items were stored with client in the waxing room.Store personal items in a separate space.

      • PRE-empt RTU was being used to clean the semi-critical tools.-Please use high level disinfectant for example disinfectant like PRE-empt CS 20 for disinfecting the semi- critical tools.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • The ingredients list for the eyelash extension glue was in Korean.-Please ensure that the ingredients list is in English, and the manufacturer instructions are available for safe use.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • The crevices and hard to reach areas of the pedicure chairs were dusty.- Please clean the pedicure chairs as the facility must be maintained in clean and sanitary condition.

      • The ventilation system was turned off.-Ensure that the ventilation system is always turned on and there is adequate ventilation in the facility.The polished and the cleanable layer on the wood inside the drawers was getting worn off and the wood surface was getting exposed.-Please make sure that the work surfaces are polished, non-porous and easily cleanable.

      • There is accumulation of dust on the walls by the manicure stations and on windowsill. Please ensure the ventilation system is working properly and clean the dusty areas thoroughly.
