- The steamer in the kitchen was observed to be leaking water at the time of the inspection.A plastic bussing bin was placed beneath the steamer to collect the leaking water. The plastic bussing bin collected water is disposed of when required.This observation was discussed with the kitchen staff and also the support service supervisor. It was indicated that the facility maintenance is aware of the concern and have ordered repair parts.

- The kitchen exhaust hood filters had dust on them, and also the ventilation hood cleaning had passed its scheduled servicing date which was supposed to be in October 2024.This observation was discussed with the kitchen staff and also the support service supervisor, who said that these two deficiencies will be corrected. Regular maintenance of the ventilation hood is necessary to ensure proper functioning and to avoid grease build up which can lead to fire hazard.

Please monitor the temperature of this unit. As well, ensure the walk-in cooler thermometer is moved to the warmest area of the walk-in cooler which would be near the cooler door entrance.
