    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • The handwashing sink within the washroom located closest to the washroom door in the preschool room was not operational. The operator informed that the sink was continuously dripping and that management was made aware for the repairs. Ensure all handwashing sinks are maintained to be in working condition. The plumber repaired the indicated handwashing sink during the inspection.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • The paint on the small wooden benches in the OSC room was observed to be wearing which makes the surface difficult to effectively clean and disinfect. Ensure the indicated wooden benches are sealed and/or painted to render the surface smooth and easy to clean.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The diapering pad in the infant room was observed with small rips and is no longer smooth and easy to clean. 2. The stepping stools in all washrooms were observed with a buildup of grime.1. Ensure the indicated diapering pad is replaced.2. Ensure the stepping stools are cleaned and sanitized.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The water temperature at the handwashing sink within the washroom furthest from the washroom door in the preschool room was measured at 55.5 degrees Celsius with probe thermometer. Ensure all handwashing sinks that children have access to are maintained below 54 degrees Celsius. The recommended maximum hot water temperature is 49 degrees Celsius. A plumber adjusted the temperature of the water to be at an acceptable temperature of 36.4 degrees Celsius during the inspection.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The water temperature at the handwashing sink within the washroom closest to the washroom door in the toddler room was measured at 54.9 degrees Celsius with probe thermometer. Please reduce the water temperature at the indicated handwashing sink. Recommended maximum hot water temperature is 49 degrees Celsius. A plumber adjusted the temperature of the water to be at an acceptable temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius during the inspection.
