      • Reusable equipment is not fully being cleaned prior to immersion in High-level Disinfectant. Build up was observed at the bottom of the foot callus remover near the handle. The foot callus removers were all separated, cleaned and disinfected again upon request. Ensure all items are cleaned properly prior to disinfection.

      • Operator and staff are not following manufacturer's instructions, nor are they fully cleaning items between clients. Operator is to provide more education to staff.

      • Used equipment, reprocessed equipment, and non-processable items are not being clearly separated. For example, lash tweezers, which require reprocessing in High Level disinfectant, are being stored with cosmetic products.Another example, nail clippers and nippers and tweezers, are stored with single use nail files, brushes, and are not protected from contamination of nail dust.

      • Physical residual was observed inside the chamber containing high level disinfectant. Re-usable equipment is to be fully cleaned prior to disinfection.

      • There are uncleanable containers constructed of felt being used in the waxing room. All tools, surfaces are to be smooth, impervious to moisture and easy to clean.
