- -The chemical cupboard under the kitchen sink was not secured. Please secure.

- -Purses in the play clothes section of the Pre-school Room had long straps; this is a potential strangulation hazard. Please remove.

- -Grey storage shelves throughout the facility had sharp corners. Please install corner protector pads.

- -A Type 2 First Aid Kit was not available. There are new requirements for first aid supplies. Please refer to Appendix H of the “Alberta Health Services Childcare Guidelines.” The list of supplies should be printed out so that regular audits can be completed.

- -There was tape residue on the floor in the Pre-school Room making it hard to clean. Please remove tape and ensure the floor is thoroughly cleaned. If tape is going to be used it needs to be replaced frequently.

- -Pest records have not been filled out since November 2024. Please ensure the checklist is filled out monthly and it is kept available on-site. If any infestation is identified a pest control company must be contacted. Please keep all reports from the company available on-site as well.

- 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
- -A diaper table needs to be installed in the Toddler Room. Ensure it is installed next to a designated sink.*A diaper table was installed in the classroom but there was no sink in the classroom. A diaper table needs to be next to a sink for handwashing.
- 11. Are parent provided foods being properly handled and stored to ensure the safety of clients in this social care facility?
- -Remove all re-useable dishes. This facility has not been approved to wash dishes for children. No food handling permit.-Ensure the Parent Handbook is updated to reflect the food policy of the facility and provide a copy to EPH. The policy should include the requirement for parents to provide dishes and identify ice packs and thermoses are needed or if children can store their lunches in refrigerator's on-site. In addition lunch must be finished that day or it will be sent home.-The refrigerators in the OSC was over 4C. Ensure these units can maintain a temperature of 4C or less if they are going to be used. A temperature log should be kept daily to verify

- -Toilet paper rolls for crafts were collected from and stored in the staff washroom. Please ensure they are disposed of. Only toilet paper rolls that have not come from a washroom can be used.

Please ensure the temperature is maintained at 4C or less.
