    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • Used nail files, nail buffs and sanding bands were found at the manicure station. Single use items must be discarded after use and not stored at work stations.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Manager stated that reusable tools in the facility (for manicures, waxing etc) are cleaned and then disinfected in alcohol. A bottle of CS20 that expired in 2023 was found during inspection but manager stated that CS20 was not being used.Alcohol is not acceptable for use to disinfect semi-critical tools. Obtain high level disinfectant that is within its expiry date. Re-clean and disinfect all semi-critical tools in the facility.
