      • The simple foot basin has rollers and is considered to be uncleanable. Discontinue use of this foot basin and obtain an alternative foot basin that can be properly cleaned & disinfected.

      • A high-level disinfectant (HLD) is not available and is required for disinfection of semi-critical equipment

      • Semi-critical equipment is being reprocessed in a room containing a toilet. Discussed sink requirements for use of semi-critical equipment. Install a sink that is connected to a permanent potable water system that is capable of producing hot and cold running water, and ensure it has sufficient work surface area to adequately accommodate the placement of cleaned equipment. The work surface area and sink must be located in an area to which client access is restricted, and must not be located in a room that contains a toilet or in a kitchen. A shelving unit/table next to the reprocessing sink is needed to allow for sufficient work surface area to adequately accommodate the placement of contaminated reusable equipment.
