      • 1. A disinfectant cleaner was stored inside an unsecured cabinet in the Preschooler Room, making it accessible to children. The cleaner was removed and stored out of reach during the inspection. Ensure all chemicals are kept in a secured or locked location to prevent child access.2. Push pins were found on the bulletin boards in the Busy Bees room (ages 19 months to 3 years). Because push pins pose a choking hazard, they should not be used in any room for children aged 3 and under. Please remove all push pins from the room and replace them with a safer alternative such as tape, staples, or Velcro.

      • 1. Personal belongings were stored in one of the cabinets in the Busy Bees room. Staff may have hazardous items such as medications in their personal bags, and these must be kept fully inaccessible to children. The cabinet does not have a functioning childproof lock, as the previous lock appears to have snapped off. Please install a new childproof lock to ensure all personal items are securely stored out of children’s reach.2. The sensory bottle in the Young Explorers room has a screw on lid that can be unscrewed. To prevent children from accessing the sensory materials inside, please apply tape securely around the lid as an added safety precaution.

      • 1. Cleaning schedule templates were available in the Young Explorers, Busy Bees, and Preschoolers rooms However they were not completed, making it difficult to verify if and when required cleaning tasks have been carried out. Please ensure that cleaning checklists are filled out consistently. Consider modifying the template so it is easier for staff to complete and supports accountability in maintaining routine cleaning practices.

    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. There is a punctured hole in the multi-colored lounger. Director removed it during time of inspection and indicated it will be discarded.2. Damaged wall behind the lounger that was removed at time of inspection had not been repaired completely. Please repair wall.3. The side panel of the wooden shelf in the toddler room facing the exit door is stripping. Please resurface wooden surface to prevent injuries.4. A vtech plastic toy had a piece broken off exposing sharp edges. It was discarded at time of inspection. Please ensure toys are thoroughly inspected upon cleaning and on a regular basis to ensure they're in good working condition and safe to use.
