What these findings mean

Health authorities word their findings differently, so we group them by what they mean for the people using the facility. Higher-risk findings are the ones that could directly cause illness or injury, such as water that is not properly treated.

  • Pool and spa water qualityHigher risk

For pools, spas and splash pads, inspectors test disinfectant levels, pH and water clarity, and check safety equipment. Water that is not properly treated can spread skin, ear and stomach infections.

    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • There is significant air bubbling observed in the pool basin, strainer basket of the pump and in the flow meter. Investigate the cause of the air in the circulation system as this is creating clarity issues in the basin.

      • The chemical controller does not have a flow switch installed to prevent chemical dosing when the circulation pump is not circulating water in the pool plumbing. Contact a pool service provider to investigate and install necessary equipment to prevent feeding of pool chemicals when there is no water flowing in the system.
    • 17. Does the pool have adequate written policies, plans and posted rules and safety information to ensure that the pool is operating in a safe manner?
      • New suction outlet covers were installed on June 30 2026 but the completed plan has not been submitted. An anti-entrapment compliance plan has been submitted but not reviewed. Comments and confirmation of compliance will be provided once reviewed.
