- The hand piece of the laser that is in contact with the clients is visibly soiled with grime in between the grooves. Reusable equipment must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to use. Clean the hand piece to dislodge debris and grime in the grooves, visually inspect the hand piece prior to disinfection. Ensure the contact time is followed to achieve adequate disinfection.The operator cleaned the hand piece at the time of the inspection.
