    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: Observed onions and flour within the dry inventory area being stored on the floor.
      • Corrective Action: Operator is to ensure that food products stored within the dry inventory are adequately stored at a minimum of 6 inches (15 cm) from the floor, to prevent contaminants, potential pests, contact with objects and staff from contaminating food products and permit thorough cleaning of floor area within the dry inventory area.
    • 309 - Chemicals, cleansers, & similar agents stored or labeled improperly [s. 27]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Observed the food contact surface sanitizing solution spray bottle unlabelled at time of inspection. Operator labelled the spray bottle with "Bleach Sanitizing Solution" at time of inspection. Tested sanitizing solution with test strips and the solution concentration was 200 ppm at time of inspection and in compliance with British Columbia's Food Premise Regulation 210/99 (B.C. Reg., 210/99).
      • Corrective Action: Operator to ensure all chemical solutions, cleansers and agents are stored away from food products and, if stored in a container that is not the original and / or from the manufacturer, are appropriately labelled with the type of chemical present within the diluted solution (e.g. Bleach / Hypochlorite).

    • 302 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) No sanitizer detected in sanitizer containers or spray bottles. (Public Health Significance) Sanitizing solutions must be used on food contact surfaces to eliminate bacteria on surfaces to prevent contamination.
      • Corrective Action: A bleach sanitizing solution was created and tested on site with an effective concentration of 200 ppm.
