- Facility does not have a written procedure for:- the cleansing of skin and mucous membrane (for waxing) - client care in the event of an accidental skin cut or punctureCorrective Action:AHS written procedure templates were provided for use and completed/reviewed by operator during the inspection.
- 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
- The reprocessing area and sink on the main floor in the converted kitchen were being used for both dining purposes (i.e. washing dishes) and reprocessing equipment.Corrective Action:- Advised the operator that the reprocessing area and sink must not overlap usage with incompatible activities such as dining purposes.- The operator stated they will use their personal kitchen sink in the basement for dining purposes, and instead use this sink dedicated or reprocessing equipment.- The washroom sink will be used for staff hand washing.
