      • Probe thermometer is out of batteries. Ensure a functioning probe thermometer is available and is used to confirm internal temperatures of cooked foods.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Chlorine test strips not available. Facility had water hardness test strips which are not the correct test strips.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Monthly pest control records are not being maintained. AHS pest control checklist emailed to program - ensure it is filled out on a monthly basis.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • A couple of ceiling tiles were missing. One ceiling tile appeared to be stained or water damaged.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • A cleaning checklist (such as daily, weekly, monthly cleaning checklists) are required for the kitchen.
