      • Backsplash was noted to be missing from hand washing sinks located in the toddler washrooms.Please install the missing backsplash.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Soap and paper towel dispensers were noted to be empty at OSC washroom. The operator stocked both soap and paper towel dispensers during the inspection.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Toys were not being washed properly. Discussed proper toy washing procedures. Please either use mechanical dishwasher after food activities area ceased for the day or use tow compartment sinks located in the OSC room. Wash with soap and water and rinse with clean water. Disinfect using bleach solution at 100 ppm for two minutes.

      • One of the handwashing sinks located in the OSC room with two water closet was noted to be loose. The handwashing sink was not properly secured to the wall and was noted to be moving. Please secure the handwashing sink. The operator posted "out of order" sign on this sink during the inspection.

      • A fire extinguisher was noted to be stored on the countertop in the OSC room. This was moved to the kitchen area during the inspection.

      • One of the handwashing sinks located in the OSC room with two water closet was noted to be loose. The handwashing sink was not properly secured to the wall and was noted to be moving. Please secure the handwashing sink. The operator posted "out of order" sign on this sink during the inspection.

      • 1. Outbreak procedures were not observed during the inspection. The operator printed the outbreak procedures during the inspection.2. Clients' personal storage bags were not labeled at the time of inspection. The operator labeled all these bags during the inspection.

      • 1. Ceiling tiles were damaged throughout the facility. Water stains were noted. Please investigate the leak and re-mediate it. Please replace all damaged tiles with smooth, easy-to-clean and moisture resistant material. 2. Holes were noted on the walls throughout the facility. Please repair all these holes and paint them.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • General cleaning and organizing is required throughout the facility. Please clean and organize the facility thoroughly and ensure it is maintained in a clean state at all times.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • Clean dishes and a box of glove were stored within client's access.These were moved during the inspection. The operator was advised not to store these items within clients access.

      • Garbage cans were noted to be without lids in both OSC and infant room. Please replace both these garbage cans.

      • Clients' personal items were in physical contact with other clients' personal items. Please be advised that clients personal items must note be in physical contact with other clients' personal items. Please either acquire large bags to store personal items or install a barrier between storage hooks. April 26:Clients water bottles were in physical contact, space out to reduce spread of pathogens. June 24,2024;Some rooms had the bottles separated, and used bags to clearly separate client belongings. Staff indicated more bags have been ordered.

      • - Handwashing prior to glove use was not observed.- Handwashing between tasks such as touching the trash can and feeding was not observed.Ensure proper handwashing procedures are completed in between tasks and before using gloves.

      • General cleaning and organizing is required throughout the facility. Please clean and organize the facility thoroughly and ensure it is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner at all times.

      • Toys were being washed in the washroom sink and dried on diaper changing station in toddler room. Please wash toys in the designated toy washing sink. Please do not store/dry toys on diaper changing station.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The maximum water temperature was noted to be at 52 degrees C. Please decrease the water temperature and ensure it is maintained beow 49 degrees C, ideally at 43 degrees C.

      • Clients and staff personal items were not being stored properly. Please ensure that personal items are stored properly and are not in contact with other clints or staff personal items.
