    • 209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Raw chicken stored in a food-grade bucket in the walk-in cooler was left uncovered and open to contamination. (Public Health Significance): Contamination of food from contact with objects, people, pests or chemicals can cause serious illness.
      • Corrective Action: The employee corrected this by covering the bucket with its lid at the time of inspection. The operator must ensure that employees consistently cover or otherwise protect all food items from airborne contaminants, drips from raw foods, and contact with objects or staff.
    • 306 - Repeat Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Overall the food premises observed to be maintanied sanitary except the floor next to deep fryer and walk in cooler. both the floors had grease build-up and were slippery at the time of inspection. (Public Health Significance): Slippery floors pose an increased risk of injuries, including slips and falls. Grease buildup can promote bacterial growth and attract pests and rodents, which may lead to contamination of food and equipment.
      • Corrective Action: The operator must ensure the affected floors near the deep fryer and walk-in cooler are cleaned and degreased. To prevent recurrence, implement routine cleaning and consider using slip-resistant flooring or anti-fatigue mats in these areas.

    • 306 - Repeat Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Floor surfaces are extremely slippery and dangerous. Floor has a coating of grease.
      • Corrective Action: A deep clean of the floors with degreaser is required
    • 312 - Repeat Items not required for food premises operation being stored on the premises [s. 18]
      • Observation: Unused equipment from past Taco Bell operation is still in the premises as well as old unused equipment in is stored in the cleaning area.
      • Corrective Action: Old unused equipment MUST be removed from thew premises.

    • 301 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Dish washing sanitizer tested at 10 ppm chlorine. Minimum requirement is 100 ppm chlorine
      • Corrective Action: corrective action taken immediately
    • 302 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Dish washing sanitizer tested 10 ppm Cl. 100 ppm Cl is the minimum concentration required
      • Corrective Action: Corrected immediately.
    • 306 - Repeat Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Floors slippery with grease. Floor corners and edges have built up grime. Some walls need cleaning and painting ( especially the cleaning equipment area. Wall repairs and bare wood in hallway to the cleaning equipment area. Coolers and freezer floors and doors including door gaskets are not clean.
      • Corrective Action: Floors require grease removal and built up grime areas thoroughly cleaned. Cleaning equipment area requires cleaning and painting. Bare wood and wall repair require and painting required. Cooler doors and gaskets require cleaning on an on going basis.
    • 312 - Items not required for food premises operation being stored on the premises [s. 18]
      • Observation: Numerous old unused pieces of equipment stored and kept in the store
      • Corrective Action: Remove all equipment not used in the day to day operation.

    • 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: build up of grease and debris observed underneath harder to clean equipments. Floor was observed to be heavily coated in grease making it slippery to walk on.
      • Corrective Action: General deep clean of the area would be benifitial to allow for a more sanitary environment.
