    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • The basement level's utility room/toy storage room was left accessible to clients of the purple room at the time of the inspection.The door used to access the storage area inside of the purple room not secured at the time and could be accessed by clients and allow them to enter unsupervised.The current condition poses a risk to clients and must be remediated.Ensure that the entrance(s) to the storage areas that may pose a risk to clients are adequately restricted, and that the means of restricting access are engaged and used by staff members appropriately.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • The lid of the sensory play table used in the rainbow room was noted to be made of a wood fiber material and was actively growing mould on the underside of the cover. The table contained play sand at the time.The lid was removed from the childcare room by the inspectors. This lid and should be replaced with a lid that is non-absorbent, smooth, and easy to clean, as the sensory table may also be used as a water-table. Ensure that the mould affected lid and any other play items/surfaces identified to be affected are cleaned, discarded, or replaced as needed.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Sleeping cots stored and used in the red room were observed to be improperly stored at the time. The cots were stacked horizontally within a closet in the red room, and the client's personal linens/blankets were pulled through the top end of each cot and allowed to directly contact the cot and personal linens/blankets of other clients. Ensure that each client's personal linens and assigned sleeping surface are not permitted to contact those of another client.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • At the time of the inspection sections of the radiator heater covers were missing their transition covers in the green and red childcare rooms.Without the transition covers, the metal of the radiator covers present a risk of cuts to the clients.Ensure that the clients are adequately protected from the sharp metal edges of the baseboard radiator covers / guards.

    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • At the time of the inspection, the change table pad in the Orange Room was noted to have tares and holes in the plastic surfacing. These areas had been patched using clear packing tape.Ensure that a new diapering pad is purchased for the Orange Room.Ensure that the new pad contains a child safety belt, or that the table retains its child safety belt.

    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • *Observed in the washroom by the red room that the mirror clip is rusting and has a sharp portion sticking out. -Have the clip replaced so that it's in good repair not sharp and tight against the surface.*Observed in Green room that the wall by the door has some flaking/ missing paint. -Have the surface addressed so that its in good repair. and easily cleanable. *Purple room bathroom mirror clips showing signs of wear becoming rusty and either sticking out from the surface or is rough. Sinks cabinet is also showing signs of wear with the surface flaking along the edges on the front and on the door nearest to the entrance. -Have clips replaced and the cabinet address so that its in good repair and impervious to moisture.
