      • Windows are tempered glass, but did not have shatterproof film. Apply shatterproof film to any window within 1 meter of ground.

    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • A table in the Lavender room was damaged/worn. Refinish table so that it is smooth, impervious to moisture and can be easily cleaned.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Paper towel in Lavender room was not in dispenser. Please ensure paper towel dispensers are re-stocked when empty.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • Diapering pad used in Nightingale room was torn and no longer impervious to moisture. Remove or replace diapering pad with pad that is impervious to moisture and easy to clean.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. In rooms where children were likely to mouth toys there was no clearly labelled mouthed toy bin to ensure toys are cleaned and disinfected between children after being in mouth. In infant/young toddler rooms ensure there is a clearly labeled mouthed toy bin.2. Spray nozzle of sanitizer bottle was broken in three different rooms: Jasmin, Nightingale, Marigold. Replace spray nozzle. Ensure that nozzles are checked in morning and that staff are replacing immediately when broken. Sanitizer must be used throughout day after diapering and on tables prior to eating.

      • The following taps were loose and require tightening:- Tap on right side sink in Jasmine room- Tap on left side sink in Lavender room
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • 1. In rooms where most children are diapering, please install shelving to store containers of diapering supplies. Containers are currently stored stacked on counter directly next to hand sink. Containers may become contaminated in current location and make cleaning counter difficult.2. There was a tub of vaseline in the Marigold room and a tub of vaseline in the Jasmine room that were not labelled with a child's name. Ensure all products are labeled with child's name and are not shared between children.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • Sanitizer bottle in Lavender room was not labelled. Ensure all sanitizer bottles are labeled.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • First aid kits in rooms were stored on floor within reach of children. Ensure all first aid kits are stored out of reach of children.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • First aid supplies varied from room to room. Ensure there is at minimum a complete Type 2 Basic Small First Aid kit onsite at all times and additional available for off-site trips/school pick up.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Cots were placed directly next to each other during nap time. Please space cots out as much as possible (at least 60cm apart) to prevent disease transmission.

      • In several rooms, spray bottles containing disinfectant spray were not labelled. Ensure all bottles are labelled so their contents are known.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • There was no disinfectant available in Nightingale room. Ensure disinfectant is available in every room.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Paper towel in Nightingale room had run out. Paper towel was not in dispensers throughout facility, but was sitting on counters beside dispenser. Ensure all paper towel dispensers are stocked.
