      • Hot dog pastries were stored at room temperature. Ensure all savory pastries are stored in the cooler or time stamp products for 2 hours.

      • Fruit flies near espresso bar and dish pit. Ensure areas are kept clean and sanitary to prevent infestation. Contact pest control if issue persists.

      • Crack in light shield near dishwashing area.

      • Crack in cooler under espresso machine. Covered with black matting when onsite. Ensure this is repaired or replaced.

    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • - Food containers/buckets were stored directly on the floor in the walk-in cooler.*Pictures were received the same day showing that all items are now stored above the floor. All containers/buckets used for storing food are food contact surfaces and must be protected from contamination by being stored at least 15 cm (6 inches) off the floor.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • - The paper towel dispenser beside the handwashing sink in the front area was not easily accessible and was blocked by dishes.*The violation was corrected onsite; the dishes were removed from in front of the paper towel dispenser.**To prevent this issue in the future, the paper towel dispenser was moved above the handwashing sink for easy access (pictures were received the same day).***Please ensure that handwashing sinks remain easily accessible to promote hand hygiene and safe food handling practices.

      • The following areas require cleaning:1) The floors in hard-to-reach areas at the back of the facility (under food preparation tables, under a storage shelf, and beside the food equipment on the right side of the walk-in freezer) had food debris accumulation.*Please clean these floors and ensure they are maintained on a regular basis.2) There was food debris accumulation on the floor of the walk-in freezer.*Clean the floor of the walk-in freezer and ensure it is maintained on a regular basis.*Clean the outside of the food storage bins, and display coolers handle and ensure they are maintained on a regular basis.

      • Two fly sticky strips had been installed over a food preparation table, and one had been installed so that a portion was hanging in the hand wash sink.If fly sticky strips are used, install the strips in areas away from food, food equipment, and food contact surfaces.

      • Unopened boxes of plastic wrap were being stored directly on the floor under one of the food preparation tables in the back of the facility.Boxes were picked up off the floor during inspection. Plastic wrap is a food contact surface and must be protected from contamination by storing it at least 15 cm (6 inches) off the floor.

      • Quat test strips had expired in 2019.Obtain quat test strips within their expiry date. Ensure the test strips are used for verifying sanitizer concentration.

      • There was no means to verify the rinse temperature at the plate level for the high temperature dishwasher.Obtain either high temperature dishwasher test strips, or a maximum holding water resistant thermometer that measures the range of 0-100 degrees Celsius.
