    • 05. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • Alkalinity in the whirlpool is low (21 PPM). Adjuste alkalinity as well as check that the timer for the jets does turn off after 15 minutes. It appears that the timer will stick if set to beyond 15 minutes and stay on for an extended time.
    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • The flow meter is cloudy and due to the discoloration on the lid cannot be clearly read. Flow meter is also maxed out at 110 GPM. Replace the flow meter lid so that the flow can be read off the flow meter. Please note that the flow meter is installed in schedule 80 pipe and the correct flow meter must be installed in order to read an accurate flow. This deficiency is still outstanding from July 16, 2025 inspection.
    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • Basin finish is peeling throughout the basin. Remove any material that may be sharp or flake off and get logged into the filters. Provide a timeframe for refinishing of the whirlpool finish.
    • 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
      • A review of the chemical test logs for the whirlpool show that the facility is not consistently testing twice a day, but more concerning is that when chemical parameters are out of range specifically low chlorine there is no notations for actions taken such as closure as well as follow up results to confirm the chemistry has been addressed. The facility must ensure that if chemical parameters are out of range immediate action is taken and noted in the logbook. Ensure logs are checked and verified by management for compliance. This issue was still noted during inspection conducted on 25 Nov 2025.

    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • The flow meter is cloudy and due to the discoloration on the lid cannot be read. Clean or replace the flow meter lid so that the flow can be read off the flow meter. Please note that the flow meter is installed in schedule 80 pipe and the correct flow meter must be installed in order to read an accurate flow.
    • 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?

      • The microbiological water sample submitted on 18/10/2024 was unsatisfactory: Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated, Total Coliform present. Take all necessary action to ensure microbiologically safe water. Submit a new microbiological water sample at your earliest convenience once the water chemistry is balanced.

      • 1. Large section of finish has bubbled off the wall along the north side of the basin seating area. Repair the damaged section and remove any sharp edges that could cause injury to patrons.2. Extensive foaming of the basin was noted when the jets turned on. Debris was noted along with scum build up. Clean basin.

      • Free chlorine was at 0.25 ppm. Adjust the free chlorine so that it is 2 ppm or greater.

      • 1. Chemical controller was not operating properly as the chemical feed pumps were not being activated even when the readings were below the set points. Investigate the controller issue and service as required.2. Water level was above the opening of the skimmer pot and adequate skimming action was not occurring. Adjust the water level in the basin to ensure proper skimming action is occurring.

      • The microbiological water sample submitted on 17 Nov 2023 was unsatisfactory: HPC 2750 CFU/mL. Take all necessary action to ensure microbiologically safe water. Submit a new microbiological water sample at your earliest convenience once the water chemistry is balanced.

      • Debris/sand was noted on the NW corner of the whirlpool. Remove the debris in the basin and continue to monitor for further action as needed.

      • Flow meter was cloudy/hazy and it was difficult to read the flow. Clean and reinstall the flow meter so that the flow can be clearly read. It was also noted that the flow appeared to be at or greater than the upper flow range of the flow meter. Ensure the flow meter can accurately read the flow range of the basin.

      • Debris/sand was noted on the NW corner of the whirlpool. Remove the debris in the basin and continue to monitor for further action as needed.

      • pH was 6.5. Ajust the pH to between 6.8 to 7.6
    • 05. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Alkalinity was 9 ppm. Adjust the alkalinity to maintain between 60-180 ppm.2. The combined chlorine was at 1.49 ppm and a strong chlorine odor was noted in the pool area. Take action to keep the combined chlorine as low as possible ideally below 0.5ppm.
    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The automated controller had an error light illuminated. Chemical records for the last few weeks also note that there appears to be issues with maintain a consistent free chlorine. Have the controller serviced to ensure it is in good working order.2. Flow meter was cloudy/hazy and it was difficult to read the flow. Clean and reinstall the flow meter so that the flow can be clearly read.

      • Action is not being taken when chemical parameters are outside of regulatory range. Ensure action is taken and noted in the chemical log sheets.
