      • 1) Manicure and pedicure tools were not dried before placing in the disinfectant. Manicure and pedicure tools must be dry before placing in the disinfectant.2) Dremel Drill bits were soaking in Acetone instead of PREempt cs20. Soak drill bits in PREempt cs20.
    • 18. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Non-Critical)?
      • Acrylic nail tip cutter and flip flops were not cleaned and disinfected after each client.Clean and disinfect cutters and flip flops after each client.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) Manicure and pedicure tools were soaked in the PREempt CS20 for 15 minutes only. Provide a timer and ensure all tools are soaked for 20 minutes or longer.2) PREempt CS20 disfectant expired on October 20, 2024. Discard the PREempt CS20 and provide a new one.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • Manicure stations were dusty. Please thoroughly clean all stations.

    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • 1. Paper towel are not provided in dispenser. Please provide them in the dispenser to prevent possible contamination.
    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • 1. A few of the cuticle cutters were rusted. Please do not use rusted tools. Replace as needed and inspect reusable devices regularly to ensure they are in good condition.2. Jet covers are not disassembled for cleaning. Debris were still noted on the already cleaned covers. Please disassemble these covers after each client use to properly clean them.
    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • 1. The liners used for the mobile pedicure stations are stained. Please replace liners and ensure surface is cleanable. 2. Manicure stations were dusty. Please thoroughly clean all stations.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. One of the ceiling panels in the client washroom has water damage stains. Please replace it and ensure leak source is repaired.2. Toilet paper is not provided in dispenser. Please place the toilet paper in the dispenser.
