    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1. Proper diapering procedures were not being followed. Discussed diapering procedures during the inspection. Please ensure staff members are following proper procedures. Please ensure not to store items on diaper pad and disinfect the areas thoroughly. 2. The diapering pad was not flat to the counter. It was noted to be raised and stored on top of the barrier. Please acquire a diapering pad that would fit within the barrier.

      • Staff members were not performing hand hygiene between tasks.Please train staff members and ensure they are performing hand hygiene between tasks.

      • The diapering pad in the senior toddler area was not secured. The operator indicated that they have placed an order to secure the diapering pad.

      • Toys were not being properly washed and disinfected in OSC room. Proper toy washing was discussed with the staff member in the OSC during the inspection.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Clients' personal items were in physical contact with other client's personal items. These items were moved in bags during the inspection. The operator was further advised to ensure that clients personal items are stored properly.

      • 1. A hand washing soap dispenser was noted to be empty in the girl's washroom in the OSC room.Please stock the soap dispenser with hand washing soap.2. The diapering pad in the senior toddler area was not secured. The operator indicated that they have placed an order to secure the diapering pad.

      • 1. Extra supplies of paper towels were being stored in the toddler washrooms. Please remove extra supplies from the washroom. Please do not store paper towel in washroom.2.It was noted that the facility requires organizing. Please organize the facility. Please do not store toys on the floor. Please use empty shelved for storage purposes.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The electrical box located in the OSC/Preschool room was not locked at the time of inspection. Please ensure that the electrical box is locked at all times.2. Mirrors were noted in almost all rooms. Please either remove all mirrors or install shatter proof film on them.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The maximum temperature of water was noted to be at 59.6 degrees C. Please decrease the water temperature and ensure it is maintained around 43 degrees C.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • It was noted that junior kinder/preschool room only has 18 hooks, but the facility is requesting 20 clients. Please install two more hooks in this room to ensure that all clients have personal items storage space.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • The diapering pad is not secured in the toddler room.Please secure the diapering pad in the toddler room.
