    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. There is no thermometer available on site to check the temperature of children's reheated food.2. There is no food permit for the daycare.1. Ensure a probe thermometer is obtained. It must be used to measure the temperature of children's reheated food. Thermometer must be wiped down/cleaned between each use. 2. Apply for food permit. Food permit application will be sent to the owner by the PHI via email.

    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • There was no paper towel in the second washroom located in the toddler classroom.Paper towel was replaced in the dispenser at the time of inspection.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • There was no antiseptic wipe in the first aid kit of the toddler classroom. The antiseptic wipes for the preschool classroom were expired.Please replace the expired antiseptic in the first aid kit. Ensure all first aid kits are adequately stocked to meet the requirements in Appendix H of the childcare guidelines.
    • 19. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Critical)?
      • Bite marks were observed on a foam block in the toddler classroom. There was also a damaged foam block with bite marks in the playground area. Please discard all damaged foam blocks. Ensure to inspect toys regularly to identify any damage to structure or surface integrity.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • The hooks for storing jackets/personal items were over-parked with no adequate speration between items. Jackets and other items were observed on the floor in both classrooms due to lack of space. Jackets and personal clothing must be stored sperate from each other in the childcare facility. Please obtain more storage such as individualized cubby space or more hooks to ensure personal items are kept separate from each other.
