      • 1. Raised wooden vent cover surrounded with adhesive tapes was noted in the out-of-school classroom. The raised surface could constitute a tripping hazard.-Please ensure the indicated vent cover is properly leveled or flush with the classroom floor to prevent/reduce the risk of injury.2. Torn window screens were also observed in the out-of-school care classroom.-Please repair or replace all torn window screens to ensure they are in good repair and to prevent insect entry.

      • Inadequate sanitizer concentration (bleach solution) was observed in most classrooms. The concentration was tested at below 50 ppm.-Please monitor daily with suitable test strip and ensure bleach solution is maintained at 100ppm concentration. This is to assure effective cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces and play equipment.To make 100ppm bleach solution, mix ½ to one teaspoon (2–5 ml) bleach into one litre of water.

      • 1. **WALL REPAIRED- VIOLATION CORRECTED** 2. **DOOR STOPPER INSTALLED- VIOLATION CORRECTED** 3. ** VENT COVER INSTALLED - VIOLATION CORRECTED** 6. There was no handrail installed along the exterior set of stairs to the front entrance of the daycare. ** Install a continuous and graspable (approx. 2 inches in diameter) handrail where the height is no less than 800 mm (31.5 inches) and no greater than 965 mm (38 inches).** July 4 2024 update: handrail ordered and awaiting delivery/installation. **

      • There was an electrical outlet plug cover missing from the outlet in the OSC room (by the washroom).** Ensure all electrical outlets are child proof with proper plug covers. ** THIS WAS CORRECTED DURING THE INSPECTION**

      • 1. The wall in the Toddler/Preschool washroom was damaged behind the garbage bin. **Please repair the wall and ensure a proper paint finish is applied to the area so it is made smooth, non-absorbent to moisture, and easily cleanable. 2. There is a hole in the wall behind the door in the Toddler/Preschool washroom. **Please patch the hole in the wall or install a proper wall door stopper. 3. The vent cover was missing from the fan in the Toddler/Preschool washroom. **Please install the vent cover. 4 The couch in the OSC room was duct taped/ damaged. ** Couch was removed by staff- VIOLATION CORRECTED** 5. The box holding various kid toys of musical instruments was cardboard and not being changed regularly. ** Replace cardboard with a proper storage box that can is easy to clean. **VIOLATION WAS CORRECTED AT THE TIME OF INSPECTION** 6.
