      • A scoop was stored with its high-touch handle in direct contact with bulk oats in a food storage container. Always store scoop outside of food containers to prevent cross contamination.
    • 11. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Critical)?
      • A two-compartment sink was observed in use. In the absence of a commercial dishwasher, a minimum of a three-compartment sink is required to properly wash, rinse, and sanitize utensils and equipment.Required Action: Install a three-compartment sink to meet regulatory requirements for manual dishwashing.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • The frame of the prep table was constructed from unfinished and absorbent wood material. These surfaces cannot be properly cleaned and sanitized. Required Action: Paint or seal wood to ensure all surfaces in kitchen, food storage, and food processing areas are smooth, non-absorbent, durable, in good condition, and easily cleanable.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • A light fixture in the food preparation area did not have proper light cover or shatter-resistant cover.Required Action: Install protective cover on exposed light fixture to prevent potential food contamination.
