      • 2025-08-28-Hand sink faucet not yet repaired-One-compartment sink was not functional. The facility will not be offering slushies or open foods._____________________ 2025-08-06-The hand sink faucet in the staff washroom was not firmly affixed to the basin. -The 1-compartment sink in the retail area did not have hot or cold running waterACTION REQUIRED: replace/repair the wobbly faucet. Service the 1-compartment sink - ensure there is hot & cold running water available.

    • 02. Is all food in this facility from an approved source and/or properly labelled?
      • Operator unable to provide proof of purchase for the following products:-(22) cases, (8) 6-pack boxes, & (1) garbage bag of individual bottles of meal replacement.-(4) packages of Superstore Salmon, (2) packages of Sea Crave Wild Sockeye Salmon, (1) package of Safeway beef stewing cubes, & (1) package of Sterling Silver beef boneless bottom sirloin tip-(1) unlabeled clear plastic bag of frozen red meatCDI: the above listed items were discarded in the dumpster behind the building.ACTION REQUIRED: all food products must come from approved suppliers. Proof of purchase must be available upon request.

      • -2 packages of Jack Links Teriyaki beef jerky were stored on the floor next to shoes, a scooter, and a sticky trap-3 large boxes of food storage containers/cups were stored in the washroomACTION REQUIRED: Store all food and food containers off the floor. Discontinue using the washroom for food or food container/equipment storage.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • No paper towel available in the washroom. ACTION REQUIRED: ensure all hand washing stations are equipped with soap, paper towel, & hot/cold running water.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • -A dead mouse and insects observed on a sticky trap behind the single door Coca-Cola cooler (southeast corner of the facility, along south wall). -A mouse dropping was observed in the cabinetry of the front cashier counter-Several small flies observed throughout the facility - increased concentration around slurpee machines & back storage area/room (southeast corner of the facility). Several empty beverage bottles were observed in these areas as well.-Pest control records were not observed at the time of inspection-The exterior garage door leading to the alley way was not fully closed leaving a ~4 inch gap along the entire baseACTION REQUIRED: conduct deep clean of the facility in accordance with the below document. Remove all empty bottles & garbage. Ensure all doorways are tightly sealed - monitor your facility for entry points and harborage sites.       • Sanitation concerns observed in the following areas:-Heavy dust build-up on ledges/windowsills along the west wall of the facility-A melted popsicle and a popsicle stick observed on the window ledge along west wall close to the entrance door-Several bags of empty bottles in the back storage area (southeast corner of building) and under the one-compartment sink-Spilled liquid on the side of the white upright freezer and the floor (located on the south wall)-Food debris in the interior of the microwave (retail area, counter along west wall)-Slurpee concentrate splatter in the cabinetry below the slurpee machines (retail area, counter along west wall)-Brown/purple liquid observed in the staff room toilet & splattered on the toilet seatACTION REQUIRED: conduct a deep, thorough clean of the facility. Remove all empty beverage containers. Clean inside, under, and around all equipment.
