    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • Single use nail files were being cleaned and reused. These items are single use and must be discarded after use. Ensure staff are discarding them immediately after use. All used nail files were discarded during the inspection.
    • 14. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Non-Critical)?
      • A cuticle tool with a wooden handle was being cleaned and disinfected in CS20. Wood cannot be properly disinfected. Remove this tool from facility.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • Clean tweezers in waxing room were stored in container that was dirty. Container and tweezers were re-cleaned and disinfected during inspection. Ensure there is a proper method of organizing dirty vs clean tools in waxing room.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. High level disinfectant (CS20) on site was expired. Obtain new bottle. Ensure disinfectant is not used past expiration date. 2. Staff stated they were soaking tools for 15 minutes. Ensure tools are soaked for 20 minutes as per manufacturer's instructions. 3. There were no test strips onsite for high level disinfectant. Facility was using pH test strips. Obtain appropriate test strips. 4. There was no log for tracking high level disinfectant tracking. Test high level disinfectant daily and track results.

    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • Drywall installed for waxing room was not yet mudded and painted. Ensure drywall is mudded and painted and that all construction dust is cleaned up afterwards.

      • Some bottles of cosmetic products were unlabeled. Please ensure all bottles are labeled.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • Drywall installed for waxing room was not yet mudded and painted. Ensure drywall is mudded and painted and that all construction dust is cleaned up afterwards.
    • 31. Are sinks accessible and used appropriately for the personal services provided?
      • Plumbing was not yet installed at reprocessing sink or sink in main service area. Ensure all sinks have hot and cold running water.
