      • Chemicals such as toilet bowl cleaner were observed under the bathroom sink near the doorway with no safety lock.

      • The surface of the shelving unit in the bathroom was wearing and had exposed wood. Refinishing required so the surface is smooth and cleanable.The vinyl couch in the toddler room had two tears in the fabric.

      • 1) Two ceiling tiles were water stained on the bathroom ceiling. corrected2) One of the white shelving units in the kinder room had a hole and was in disrepair. Repair required. corrected3) Two stained ceiling tiles in the toddler room. Replacement required. corrected4) A ceiling tile was out of place/falling down in the stairwell to the outdoor play area.     • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • 1) A small green spray bottle was present in the bathroom and did not have a label.2) Bleach solutions throughout the program were not labelled with their contents. Please ensure all bleach solutions are labelled with their contents.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Wall tacks were being used in the toddler room. Please refrain from using tacks, staples, or pushpins as they could unintentionally fall out of the wall and create a potential choking hazard.
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1) There was no bleach solution observed in the preschool bathroom. Please ensure a bleach solution is available for sanitizing.2) The bleach solution was monitored at 0ppm. Please ensure that the bleach solution is measuring at least 100ppm

      • 1) There was a gap around the left sink by the door to the bathroom. Sealant is required in this area.2) There was mould observed behind the left sink (by the door). Removal and proper sealant required.3) Step stools in the bathroom were observed to be dirty. Cleaning required.4) Kinder room - there was a hole in the white shelf located by the wall. Repair or replacement required.5) Kinder room - there was a pink barber chair toy observed in the room which is not properly cleanable due to the fabric material. Please remove from use.

      • 1) Overall, large toys could be cleaned better throughout the program. Some toys appeared to be dirty.2) Blue vinyl blocks in the toddler room were starting to wear and were no linger impervious to moisture and not properly cleanable. Please remove from use.3) There was a red fabric storage bin in the toddler room. The items were bent and torn inside and does not allow for proper cleaning. Please remove from use.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • One toilet in the washroom was not properly operational. Repair required.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • 1) Paper towel was not observed to be in the dispenser in the preschool bathroom. Please ensure paper towel is located in the dispenser.2) "Primo" Bingo dabbers were observed in the preschool room. Bingo dabbers specify not for children. Please remove from use. Alternate brands may be used if they are labelled as non-toxic.3) No bleach solution was observed in the toddler room for sanitizing purposes.4) Infant room - paper towel was not on a proper dispenser. Dispenser required.
