    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • Temperature at hand sinks in children's washroom and pre- k room were noted to be cool. Director was able to adjust temperature at time of inspection to have adequate cold and hot water available. Ensure that hand sinks are checked regularly to ensure hot and cold water is available (maximum 49 degrees C) and that staff are aware of process to inform management when temperature at hand sink is cool.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Test strips should be available for disinfectant.Disinfectant (bleach solution) was found to be between 200 ppm, 800 ppm and 1000 ppm throughout the rooms (current outbreak measurement due to increased HFM)
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Toy washing procedure was discussed with staff.-Cleaning and rinse step was being conducted for small items (submerge).*Ensure that all toys are disinfected as well 1. Clean in hot soapy water (or wipe fully if too large to submerge)2. Rinse soap off3. Submerge in disinfectant for required time (or wipe twice if toys are too large to submerge).4. Air dry

      • One toilet was not operational in the Preschool 1 washroom. Please repair or replace.Sept 2025: Toilet in preschool room was not operational .

      • Preschool Room: Shelves (cube storage) over 4 feet need to be secured to the wall.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Toy washing procedure was discussed with staff.-Cleaning and rinse step was being conducted for small items (submerge).*Ensure that all toys are disinfected as well 1.     • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?
      • One toilet was not operational in the Preschool 1 washroom. Please repair or replace.

      • 1. Lysol cleaner was kept in sink cabinet accessible to children in Pre-kinder room, and baking soda was stored in sink cabinet accessible to children in Preschool 2 room. They were removed during the inspection. Ensure that all chemicals are not accessible to children.2. Chlorine bleach disinfectant bottles were not labelled in Kinder and Preschool 1 rooms. They were labelled during the inspection. Ensure that disinfectant bottles are labelled.3. Purexal disinfectant expired in December 2022. It was discarded during the inspection.

      • 1. Corner protectors were required on the sharp corners of white table in Pre-kinder room.2. Corner protectors were required on the sharp corners of walls in Preschool 1 washroom.
    • 16. Does the social care facility have adequate lighting?
      • Two light fixtures were not operational in Junior room. Please repair or replace.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Hooks were spaced about 9 inches apart in Preschool 2 room. Please ensure that the separation between clothes from adjacent hooks is provided (e.g. spread hooks 12 inches apart or provided storage bags for each hook).

    • 30. Are workers washing hands when appropriate and/or in a proper manner?
      • Hand sanitizers expired in Pre-kinder (expired in June 2021), Preschool 2 (expired in 2022) and Junior (expired in July 2022) rooms. They were replaced during the inspection.
