      • As demonstrated from previously submitted photographs, the ceiling in the dry storage area has been repaired with no active leakage was observed at the time of the inspection. However, ceiling remains visibly sagging. Although no food contamination risk was identified, it is recommended that a Safety Codes Officer or other qualified professional be contacted to assess structural integrity of the ceiling, to ensure it does not pose potential future risks to food or worker safety.Documentation of any assessment/repairs should be maintained and forwarded for review.

      • Cleaning of the shelves above the dishwashing sinks has been improved. Operator confirmed that more scrubbing would be conducted to remove remaining build-up.

    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Food products have been moved so that they are not directly under the actively leaking section of the ceiling in the dry storage area. However, please ensure all food, equipment, and utensils are removed from under the entire affected portion of the ceiling, including the area that is sagging.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • The designated hand sink is having draining problems, likely due to a clogged p-trap. Please ensure one of the compartments of the 3-compartment sink is dedicated and used for handwashing instead.Please ensure the sink is repaired.
    • 23. Is the facility maintained in a clean and sanitary condition?
      • Shelves above the dishwashing sinks were very sticky. Edges of flooring also had grime/build-up.Please ensure the shelves, and all surfaces with visible build-up are maintained in a clean condition.

The operator indicated that this is due to the recent storms, the weight of the snow/ice on the roof and the old age of the building. Indicated that repairs cannot be made until the spring. Food products (eg. bins of flour) have been moved so that not directly under the active leak, however, please ensure all food products are stored well away from the affected area until repairs are made.The operator also indicated that foods in that area are not being used much currently.Safety codes referral has been made to assess structural concerns.
