    • 05. Do food handlers refrain from handling food while ill and have acceptable attire and hygiene?
      • A pair of used disposable gloves were placed on the counter in the meat processing area, and improper glove use practices were described. Please ensure of the following:- Disposable gloves are only worn once (and changed out between tasks, with handwashing occurring in between changes)- Durable, reusable gloves are washed and sanitized between tasks- Gloves are changed out as frequently as possible (one pair should not be worn for more than 4 hours)AHS guidelines for glove use provided.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • There is no designated hand sink in the meat processing area. Glove use does not replace handwashing. The adjacent washroom basin is not acceptable. Please ensure a plan is in place to install a hand sink in the area.Ensure the 2-compartment sink is cleaned and sanitized before and after handwashing, until a designated sink is installed.

    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • The walk-in freezer floor is dirty and requires a good cleaning. Also, the doors to the walk-in freezer are dirty on both the inside and outside of the cooler and require cleaning. This cleaning should be completed by March 22,2024.
