    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Semi-critical tools were being sprayed with a very expired intermediate level disinfectant.1) Semi-critical tools MUST be fully SUBMERGED in a HIGH Level Disinfectant for the appropriate amount of time (ie. 20 minutes or 5 minutes depending on the chemical).2) Ensure disinfectants are replaced after the expiry date.Corrected during inspection:Proper containers for submerging the tools were available on site. A suitable disinfectant was quickly provided (CS-20).
