What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded once on October 14, 2026. For example: Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?

  • Equipment and utensilsLower risk

Equipment has to be built from cleanable materials, kept in good repair and stored properly. These findings are mostly about upkeep, like a cracked shelf, a worn gasket or utensils stored the wrong way. They are generally lower risk but show how well the kitchen is maintained.

Recorded once on October 14, 2026. For example: Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • Quaternary ammonium compound (Quat) sanitizer concentration in the manual dishwashing sink was measured at 0 ppm at the time of inspection. Staff replaced the sanitizer container; however, the sanitizer dispenser was not dispensing sanitizer properly.Staff were instructed to discontinue manual dishwashing until the issue is corrected. All dishwashing and sanitizing of utensils and equipment must be conducted using the mechanical dishwasher.Ensure the sanitizer dispenser is repaired and maintained in proper working order so that sanitizer is maintained at required concentration of 200 ppm at all times.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • It was observed during the inspection that the walk-in cooler had a water leak from the condenser unit. Two pizza pans were placed to collect the leaking water; however, they were not sufficient to capture all of the water. As a result, frozen water had accumulated on the floor, and excessive condensation and water droplets were present on the ceiling, with droplets falling onto the floor. This condition may lead to contamination of food, food-contact surfaces or packaging materials if not properly controlled.Ensure the source of the leak is identified and repaired promptly. All accumulated ice, standing water and condensation must be removed and the walk-in cooler must be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition to prevent food contamination and safety hazards.
