      • Observation: Moderate pest activity remains in Isle 3 and the adjacent Isle 2, especially on lower shelves
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure daily cleaning of these Isles to remove food debris as well as any rodent droppings. Ensure proper safe clean up of the rodent droppings. A bleach solution of 20ml bleach to 980 mls of water should be made and poured on to droppings. Wait 10 minutes, then wipe up the droppings or wet mop. Do not sweep or vaccum droppings. Wear a proper mask and gloves when doing this cleaning. WorkSafeBC has information on their website for the safe cleaning of rodent issues. For the foods in this area they are all packaged products and staff are monitoring them regularly through the day. Ensure that food contact surfaces in the deli receive sanitizing using your regular quat sanitizer before use each day.

      • Observation: Hand sink located in the middle area of the deli is leaking from the drainage pipe.
      • Corrective Action(s): Repair this pipe to stop the leaking by January 31, 2026. The water leaking from the pipe in to the bucket below is considered sewage, so ensure that it goes in to a sink that has a working pipe. Leaking sources of water provide a source of water to pests.

      • Observation: Rodent droppings/activity noted primarily in Isle 3. Facility is aware and is cleaning the isle in parts.
      • Corrective Action(s): Pest control is present on-site twice per week. Isle 3 has a significant amount of rodent droppings on lower shelving. The rest of the store has very minimal activity.       • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Low temperature dishwasher not achieving the minimum required level of sanitizer. It was found that the one of the tubes was disconnected from the machine during yesterday's maintenance service. The tube was reconnected and >50ppm chlorine was achieved at the plate level after final rinse. All dishware washed through the dishwasher to be rewashed by staff at this time.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure to have the sanitizer level monitored using the test strips available on a regular basis.

      • Observation: Rodent droppings were observed on floors behind dry storage bins (Deli) and under storage shelves/pallets in the back storage/warehouse area. Professional pest control company contracted.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure to have all droppings removed on a daily basis. Have affected area sanitized.

      • Observation: 1. Food debris observed on floors under storage shelves/pallets in the back storage/warehouse area.
      • 2. Back entrance door by the produce area missing a door sweep. As per Manager, the door has been replaced recently and a new door sweep is to be installed.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure to have floors cleaned. Keep the floors free of food debris. Ensure to have the door sweep installed and contact the health inspector to notify.

      • Observation: A few rodent droppings observed from the following areas:
      • - floor underneath packaging table
      • - floor underneath metal storage racks at the back
      • No droppings observed from food prep/retail area.
      • Corrective Action(s): Continue to monitor for and remove droppings if observed every morning and after each shift. Sanitize all food prep surfaces before initiating any food prep in the morning.

      • Observation: Droppings were still observed from the following areas:
      • - produce storage area at the back
      • - left end corner of work table and by the bulk bin area in deli
      • Pictures taken at this time.
      • Corrective Action(s): Facility had a major cleaning to have all droppings removed after the previous inspection. However, new droppings should be removed daily and throughout the day as discussed at this time.
      • Continue with increased frequency of pest control inspection (x2/week) until situation resolves/improves. Ensure to have all found holes filled and damaged wall by the produce storage area at the back repaired. Garbage disposal area to be cleaned by staff on a regular basis throughout the day.
