      • -Written procedures were not available for this facility. Please ensure written procedures are developed for: Preparation of Skin and Client Care.
    • 13. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Critical)?
      • - Single-use equipment was not being discarded after each use. Unclean spoolies were observed in a storage drawer. Ensure single use spoolies are discared after each use.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • - Equipment (waxing tweezers and scissors) were not being protected from contamination during handling and storage. Ensure equipment is stored in a manner to keep it clean and free from contamination.- Contaminated equipment (waxing tweezers and scissors) were not adequately separated and identifiable from clean equipment. Ensure contaminated equipment is stored completely separate from clean equipment to prevent contamination of clean equipment.
    • 16. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Non-Critical)?
      • -Linens on the wax table were not being laundered after each use. Ensure linens are laundered after each use.

      • - Equipment is not being fully immersed in the high-level disinfectant during the disinfection process. There was not enough disinfectant in the container to fully immerse foot files. Ensure equipment is fully immersed in solution.- A high level disinfectants was available but not being tested and verified daily using proper test strips. Ensue the high level disinfectant is tested daily using the test strips specified by the disinfectant manufacturer. Disinfection records need to be kept.
