    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • 1. Chlorine (bleach) on-site but not mixed in a container or bottle to appropriate food safe concentration. Mix sanitizer at appropriate concentration and sanitize food contact surfaces at regular intervals.2. Staff is scooping ice cream; scoops were kept in standing water. Provide dipper well or wash/sanitize scoops between uses. Do not store scoops in water between use.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Move food equipment away from hand sink and ensure it is continuously accessible for handwashing. Currently chocolate machine and paper cups stored near paper towel dispenser.
    • 20. Do food handlers at the facility have adequate food safety training?
      • Was advised owner has taken approved Provincial Food Safety Course. Copy of certificate to be provided.** please provide proof of food safety certification (list attached with approved courses)
  2. Initial Inspection

    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • There was no handsoap at the handsink in the preparation area or at the bathroom handsink. Corrected during inspection but please keep the soap in proper dispensers. Was advised new soap dispensers are going to be installed.
    • 20. Do food handlers at the facility have adequate food safety training?
      • Was advised owner has taken approved Provincial Food Safety Course. Copy of certificate to be provided.
