      • Toddler bathroom: diapering mat is in disrepair (ripped). Please replace.Preschool room: several sleeping mats are in disrepair. Please replace.

      • Toddler room: corners of shelving are duct taped. Duct tape is not smooth or easy to clean. Corner protectors or other cleanable items can be used for sharp corners.Preschool room: leather couch is in disrepair and covered with duct tape. The couch was removed.

      • Deep cleaning of the floor is required along the perimeter of the childcare rooms (build-up of grime).Preschool room: inside of microwave needs cleaning.

      • -Shelves over 4 feet were not secured to the wall. Please ensure that all shelved over 4 feet are secured to the wall.

      • -Bingo dabbers were observed that were labelled “keep out of reach of children.” Please ensure all craft supplies that are not labelled as “non-toxic” are removed.-There was a grey carpet in the Infant Room that was rolling up at the edges. Please remove.

      • -Bingo dabbers were not labelled as non-toxic. Ensure only non-toxic craft supplies are used.

      • -Illness logs were not available. Ensure illness logs are kept for the child care facility.

      • -Operator had conducted renovation since the last inspection, including the removal of a wall. In the future please ensure Environmental Health is contacted prior to starting any renovations. -Please provide asbestos testing results from any materials removed.

      • - The flooring in the area where the wall was removed had not been finished. Ensure it is finished so that it is smooth, impervious to moisture and easy to clean.-Ceiling tiles were stained above the fridge in the OSC Room. Please replace.

      • -This facility does not have a food handling permit and therefore has not been approved to use re-useable dishes. There was a bin full of re-useable dishes in the classroom. Please remove.

      • -The concentration of Chlorine was inconsistent throughout the facility. This was addressed at the time of inspection. -Test strips expire this year. Please replace when necessary

      • -No cleaning schedules available. Ensure schedules are available and filled out daily.

      • -There was a broken crib in the Infant Room. Please remove/replace.

      • -There were cockroaches observed on the sticky traps in the laundry room. Please provide updated pest control reports.

      • -The fridge in the Infant Room was greater than 10C. Pleas ensure a thermometer is installed and that the fridge is maintained at 4C or less.
