    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • ***There were concerns with the red lids on the play sand/sensory bins and some of the chairs where dirt had accumulated. If the surfaces cannot be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition then they should be replaced with cleanable surfaces.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • ***The hot water temperature was above the recommended 38C to 43C. Discussed tempering devices or mixing valves to ensure that the water was never too hot and would not scald someone using the faucets.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • ***The coat hooks children's belongings were not adequately spaced. There was enough spacing for up to 42 children's coats in the hallway if the hooks were properly spaced at 12 inches apart. Currently the distance between coat hooks varies and children's belongings were observed in contact with each other.July 29,2024; Ongoing violationStaff indicated the school has been informed since the prior inspection and a follow-up will be done.

      • 3 unlabeled bins containing water, bleach and lysol were found in the rooms.Bins were labeled during inspection.Ensure chemicals are labelled when they are out of their original container.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Paper towels were missing in both washrooms.Paper towels were replaced during inspection.Ensure handwashing sink is fully equipped at all times.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • ***The coat hooks children's belongings were not adequately spaced. There was enough spacing for up to 42 children's coats in the hallway if the hooks were properly spaced at 12 inches apart.       • ***There was an unlabeled spray bottle that was reported to have Oxivir but was later found to be soap and water. Ensure all spray bottles and chemical solutions are accurately labeled as to the contents (this includes the sanitizer buckets as well).
    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • ***Oxivir test papers were not available for checking the sanitizer concentration (Staff was already aware and let their management know).
