The operator and landlord have both conducted pest control activity inside the facility, which must be closely monitored.**February 20, 2024** The total amount of cockroaches has decreased but continue to be observed on pest monitoring traps. Facility has seen improved cleaning and organization, but more is needed in areas such as underneath equipment with very narrow gaps.REQUIREMENT: Operator must take all required actions to eliminate the infestation - follow all directions issued by a Pest Control Company, and begin cleaning, organizing, and preparing your facility for continued treatments.

Pest monitoring inspections must take place at least once a month. All records related to pest monitoring and control must be easily accessible and provided to a Public Health Inspector upon request.

- The concentration of quat based food contact surface sanitizer available in a spray bottle by the dishwashing sinks was undetectable.Food contact surface sanitizer was remade, with the operator choosing to make bleach water. Concentration measured 100 ppm.

- The basin of the hand sink was full of dishes at the time of the inspection. The dishes were removed to facilitate proper hand washing. Please ensure the hand sink is always free from obstruction to allow for easy access and frequent hand washing by food handlers.

- The paper towel roll was not in a proper dispenser for the hand sink. The paper towel must be in a proper dispenser to protect it from contamination.

- A customer had their dog inside the cafe with them at the time of the inspection. Animals including dogs are not allowed inside of a food establishment due to the risk of them carrying and spreading dirt, debris, pests, bacteria, viruses, parasites, along with the risk of them urinating/defecating on the floor. The importance of keeping dogs out of the facility was discussed with both the operator and customer at the time of the inspection. The only animals that are allowed in a food establishment are registered service animals with the appropriate paperwork.
